The Oklahoma Gathering Planning Committee is excited to announce our headlining speaker for our first Oklahoma Gathering is Richelle Frabotta, MSEd, CSE, CSES AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator & Supervisor!
Richelle is the coordinator of the Dennis L. Carlson Sexuality Education Studies Center at Miami University as well as an Instructor in the Family Science and Social Work Department. She is completing her doctoral program in Leadership, Culture and Curriculum. Her quarter century experiences in community-based sexuality education informs her research. Her scholarship challenges contemporary sex ed curriculum and teaching preparation practices. She is an active member for AASECT serving on Ethics Committees, the Board of Directors, and conference planning. Raised in a traditional Catholic home and strongly influenced by education professionals who value the power of progressive teaching pedagogy, Richelle has a profound respect for diversity, believes in prevention education, and engages people to make healthy choices for sexual pleasure, health, and wellness.
